OJK Keluarkan Peraturan, Perkuat Upaya Perlindungan Konsumen

 

Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) memperkuat upaya perlindungan konsumen sektor jasa keuangan melalui penerbitan Peraturan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan Nomor 6/POJK.07/2022 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen dan Masyarakat di Sektor Jasa Keuangan.


"Dengan POJK Perlindungan Konsumen ini, OJK mendorong pelaku usaha jasa keuangan untuk menyeimbangkan antara aspek bisnis dengan aspek perlindungan konsumennya," kata Kepala OJK Surakarta Eko Yunianto di Solo, Senin, 27 Februari 2023.


Eko meminta pelaku usaha jasa keuangan, termasuk Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) dan Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Syariah (BPRS), segera melakukan self assessment atau memberikan penilaian secara internal terhadap pemenuhan ketentuan perlindungan konsumen dan masyarakat.


"Selain itu juga menyelesaikan layanan pengaduan melalui aplikasi portal perlindungan konsumen (APPK) serta menyampaikan laporan melalui sistem informasi pelaporan edukasi dan perlindungan konsumen (SIPEDULI) secara tepat waktu," katanya.


Eko juga mengimbau seluruh BPR dan BPRS di wilayah Solo Raya dapat memanfaatkan layanan mobil SiMOLEK Edutainment yang dimiliki OJK sebagai sarana untuk melakukan edukasi keuangan kepada masyarakat.


OJK ke depan akan terus meningkatkan sinergi dan kolaborasi antara regulator dan industri jasa keuangan. "Salah satunya melalui peningkatan layanan pengaduan konsumen khususnya di BPR dan BPRS," kata Eko.
